My first look was at the features as this is what makes or breaks a slot game. Serengeti Kings has a couple of cool features but they are not as impressive as I had expected.

Serengeti Kings has a background that is set on a cartoon-style safari. There is a clear view of Africa and I must admit that they did quite well with the graphics here.
Conclusion
Serengeti Kings seems to have gotten it right in all areas but the payments. The RTP is great, the design and graphics are also very eye-catching. However, the payouts are not something that you would expect from a prominent developer like NetEnt.

Serengeti Kings is NetEnt’s version of a safari themed slot machine, and they made sure to make it special. While on its list of features there are some cool things to mention, and we have more on that below, the graphics are just fine, nothing impressive to show off there.

While the slot’s payouts aren’t that impressive, you get at most 50x the stake for a single combo of wilds, and I’d assume up to 1,300x for a full screen of them, ultimately you’re still getting an RTP of up to 96.7%. For the game’s big features, NetEnt has implemented the wild symbols, two types of free spins, scatters and multipliers.
Betting and Prizes
With 26 active lines in play, Serengeti Kings will require the use of only 10 coins in its bets, letting you pick what their value should be. The range for that particular bet option is between $0.01 and $10, allowing for a total wager of $0.10 to $100.

There are two game modes, the Lion Spins which correspond to the day mode, and the night mode which brings you the Panther Spins. 12 rounds are part of each mode, during which you will collect the lions and panthers in special meters. At the end of the spins, you get a feature, where you use all the symbols that were collected up to that point. Multipliers will go up and symbols can turn into wilds, when these two symbols land on each other, as the collected symbols are added to the game area.
Multipliers are present for each active line, and they start from 1x, going up for as long as you’re in the same game mode and you form wins there. The multiplier resets once you go through 12 rounds and you enter the other mode.
3+ scatters will trigger 12 free spins, for which you get to collect Lions and Panthers, to use during the last round.
Theme & Design
With high quality symbols, Serengeti Kings offers a safari inspired design, something that’s quite popular as a backstory in slot machines. NetEnt does especially well when designing the higher value symbols here, but the Royals with the animal prints are not as interesting to look at. The background is a cartoon-style safari, a view of Africa that they handled particularly well here.
Conclusion
Serengeti Kings is looking like a decent game, something that will get you interested if you’re into fun and unique features, even if the top payouts which are mentioned don’t look as attractive.
